The second possibility is that Bélána’s experiments go wrong, resulting in a creature known as a Lichthat can walk in sunlight and drains energy from its victims. They Lich would then start hunting down vampires, killing them one by one until there are no left. This would create huge chaos in the vampire communities, prompting them to band together to fight back against it. Meanwhile, Janus gains more power as he conquers cities across Europe and starts amassing an army of Strigoi deserters.
